Depending on the number of slides/photos you need to scan, or if there are some fragile pieces you don't want to transport, we can come to you.
Whether you bring your photos to us, or we bring our scanners to your site, you'll receive the same high quality digital images.
Please see our Pricing section for more detail.
We can scan and digitize your old slides or developed film at up to 6400 DPI. Our software helps to remove dust correct for physical defects or damage to the slide. We can provide you with a high resolution digital file in jpg, tiff, or psd format.
We scan your photos at up to 600 DPI and provide you with up an image of both the front of the photo, as well as the back to capture any hand-written descriptions.
We can scan photos as small as 2″ by 2″ up to 8.5″ by 120″ (no, that is not a typo, we can scan that panoramic school photo you have from middle school)
Below are the different options you have, our pricing is the same for any option.
If you're just looking for a simple image, this is the option. You get the following:
You'll still get the same quality images from Option 1, with with an addition:
The best part - there is no additional charge for the extra image! Our scanning software can do this automatically. Since it is just a matter of checking a box we won't charge you anything extra to add enhanced version.
The photo gallery below gives an idea of what the auto-enhancement can do. Compare the two images of Baby Chris with Grandpa and the image of Chris with Lego's.
The older photos can show significant improvement. Newer photos, like the one at the lake, you see a slight improvement in the coloring of the lake but its not as pronounced of a difference.
If you want to do your own editing down the road, this option may be for you. Instead of receiving the images as .jpg you'll receive them as .tif.
You still get the scanned images of both the front and the back of the photo (no auto-enhanced with this option).
The benefit of the .tif file is that it doesn't compress so you don't have the loss of image fidelity that you can with jpg. The downside is that your file sizes are huge and a .tif file is not as universally usable as a .jpg.
